A morning with the cordwainers who hand-stitch every Noir Onyx silhouette.

The day begins in Florence before the sun fully clears the terracotta rooftops. Inside our discreet studio, tucked away in a quiet cobblestone alley, the morning ritual is sacred. It starts not with the sound of machinery, but with the rich aroma of fresh espresso mingling with the earthy, intoxicating scent of full-grain leather.

Before a single tool is lifted, the master cordwainers engage in the delicate process of material selection. For the Noir Onyx silhouette, only the most immaculate hides are chosen. Our lead artisan, Alessandro, runs his calloused hands over the jet-black leather, reading its texture like braille. He is looking for perfection—a smooth, unblemished surface that will age gracefully, developing a patina unique to the wearer.

There are no rushing clocks here. The leather is cut by hand, a slow and deliberate process that honors the natural grain. As the morning light streams through the tall atelier windows, catching the floating dust motes, the workshop settles into a meditative silence. The preparation is complete; the forging of a masterpiece is about to begin.
